Embora já esteja na Espanha há dois anos, Jonathan ainda não conseguiu se firmar por lá. Depois do primeiro ano com a camisa do Almería, o lateral foi emprestado para o Las Palmas, onde foi titular em 11 dos 13 jogos que disputou pela equipe.
Desde a saída de PV para o Internacional, o Botafogo vive uma “dor de cabeça” na lateral-esquerda. Para a posição, o Alvinegro conta com Guilherme Santos e Rafael Carioca, mas nenhum dos dois conseguiu se firmar ainda na posição.

Jonathan chegou ao Botafogo em 2019 depois de se destacar pelo Nova Iguaçu. Assim como PV e Kayque, ele passou, inicialmente, pela categoria de base, até ganhar oportunidades no time profissional. Pelo Glorioso, ele disputou 17 jogos e marcou dois gols.
Enquanto isso, o Botafogo volta a campo neste sábado, às 19h, contra o Brusque, no Estádio Augusto Bauer, em partida válida pela 12ª rodada da Série B do Brasileirão.

Rumours suggest Edu is targeting a new striker, goalkeeper, defender and midfielder for Arsenal, but certain players will have to make way if the club are going to invest heavily in Mikel Arteta's squad for the second year running.
Many senior members of the Arsenal team could leave, starting with their academy graduates. Edu could sell Eddie Nketiah, Reiss Nelson and Emile Smith Rowe to fund a move for Newcastle star Bruno Guimaraes, who will soon command a £100 million release clause in his Magpies contract.
Elsewhere, Arsenal are willing to sell both Gabriel Jesus and Thomas Partey, with the high-earning duo thought to be attracting serious interest from Saudi Arabia. There is also the matter of sorting out Aaron Ramsdale's future in north London.
The England international has lost his place between the sticks to David Raya, and has been regularly linked with a move away from Hale End over the last fortnight as we approach the summer window's opening.
Ramsdale would be a potential coup for any side interested in bringing in a new shot-stopper. The 25-year-old is still young with many years still ahead of him, and the former Bournemouth ace already possesses bags of experience playing at the very top level.
Interestingly, Arsenal have been linked with re-signing a former star of theirs to replace Ramsdale – £199,000-per-week Juventus keeper Wojciech Szczesny. The Pole has won 10 major trophies across his career, and he could feasibly help Arsenal win more if he were to make the move back to England.

Fabrizio Romano has backed that Arteta will "100%" sign a new goalkeeper this summer, and now journalist Dean Jones has told GiveMeSport that Arsenal chiefs have held internal talks over a deal for Szczesny.
"It’s true that Arsenal have shown an interest in signing Wojciech Szczesny," said Jones.
"But it is hard to know if there is genuine scope for it to progress at the moment.
"They are on the lookout for a new back-up goalkeeper because Aaron Ramsdale is going to leave after this season, and Szczesny – with his experience and ties to the club – is a really good option to consider. That is why they have had initial conversations about whether it could open up.
"He is definitely not the only option for them though. I have heard of at least two other goalkeepers recently that Arsenal have sounded out about next season."

Nelson Semedo's market value has dropped by £25m and he is another of the club's over-earners, but the rest suggest that Doherty is taking home earnings that don't reflect his place in the team.
Especially when Pedro Neto is on the same salary as his Irish teammate. The 24-year-old winger has been battling injuries this season but has performed to resounding success when fit and firing, racking up two goals and nine assists from just 19 Premier League appearances, as per Sofascore.
The Republic of Ireland international still showcases several of his core qualities, ranking among the top 1% of full-backs across Europe's top five leagues over the past year for goals and the top 1% for aerial duels won per 90, as per FBref.
However, he ranks among the bottom 8% for progressive passes and the bottom 7% for progressive carries per 90. O'Neil's system is reliant on facets that Doherty can no longer offer with confidence.
Alex McCarthy, youth coach and O'Neil's long-time pal says this of his brand of football: “His philosophy on football is possession-based, high intensity, attacking football and playing out from the back."
Doherty's not getting any younger and takes up a sizeable chunk of a wage bill that needs every space it can find. Given that Wolves are one of the sides with an interest in West Ham United defender Ben Johnson, who is available on a free this summer, it would seem that Doherty is indeed expendable.

Mantuan e Natel, ambos em transição com a preparação física, participaram de parte da atividade com os outros companheiros nesta manhã. Ruan também foi a campo, mas realizou trabalhos individuais com a bola, e não com elenco.
Mantuan foi operado há pouco mais de oito meses, após romper o ligamento cruzado anterior do joelho esquerdo durante um amistoso pela Seleção Brasileira sub-20, no dia 28 de outubro do ano passado. Em casos desse tipo, o tempo de recuperação é de aproximadamente oito meses, por isso a expectativa é de um retorno em breve para ficar à disposição de Sylvinho.
Ruan Oliveira sofreu uma ruptura do ligamento cruzado anterior do joelho esquerdo em setembro de 2020 durante um treinamento e recentemente completou dez meses de cirurgia. A situação é bem parecida com a de Mantuan, e a previsão é de que ele possa estar pronto para jogar em breve.
O caso de Léo Natel é mais simples, já que ele sofreu uma luxação no ombro durante a partida contra o Red Bull Bragantino, pelo Brasileirão-2021, em 16 de junho. De lá para cá, ou seja, há pouco mais de um mês, ele tem feito trabalho de transição e está próximo de estar à disposição da comissão técnica.
Assim, o trio segue o trabalho de transição e se aproxima de virar “reforço” para o técnico Sylvinho ainda para esta temporada. Os três pertencem a um setor que carece de alternativas que possam mudar as características de um jogo. Com a chegada de Giuliano, o ataque ficará mais fortelecido.

Now, in his first summer transfer window in charge, the Belgian can finally make his mark to build on the positives already centred around his time in charge so far. And reports suggest that could see both Oscar Cortes and Abdallah Sima arrive in permanent deals after impressing on loan. Sima has particularly starred during his short spell at Ibrox and represents and seemingly remains on course to potentially turn his loan permanent. The same can't be said for Fabio Silva, however.

According to Caught Offside, Rangers want to keep Silva but the forward is ready for a new challenge and does not want to stay at Ibrox. He won't be kept around in the Midlands however, as Wolves plan to show him the door amid interest from AC Milan and Sevilla this summer.
It's frustrating news for the Gers, given their reported stance on the forward, but they can at least look to spend his reported £4m-a-year salary on improving Clement's squad through other arrivals.
The 21-year-old, meanwhile, finds himself at a career crossroads. After failing to find his feet at Wolves and opting out of a permanent move to Rangers, Silva must get back on track with his next move, wherever that may be.

Whilst it's always important to take into account that Silva is still just 21 years old, there still needs to be signs that he will reach that potential of his. Whether it's been at Wolves or Rangers, he has yet to really show those signs since his Benfica days, meaning that any permanent deal would have been a risk for the Gers.
