Ireland will host an ODI tri-series also involving West Indies and Bangladesh next summer. The tournament, which will begin on May 5, will see the teams play each other twice with the top two sides playing the final on May 17.The tri-series, which begins two days after Ireland are scheduled to play an ODI against England in Malahide, adds to a busy home summer for Ireland that will feature 16 international matches. Apart from the tri-series and the England ODI, Ireland are set to meet Afghanistan in two ODIs, and Zimbabwe in three ODIs and three T20Is. All these matches will be played across four international venues in the country, with Malahide hosting five, Clontarf three, Stormont five and Bready three.All this limited-overs action will serve as a curtain-raiser to the main event; Ireland first ever Test match against England, at Lord’s. After being granted Test status in 2017, Ireland hosted Pakistan for a one-off Test in May 2018, which the visitors won by five-wickets in Malahide. Ireland are also set to play their first-ever away Test match in March 2019, against fellow Test newbies Afghanistan.

Without taking her name, he indicated he was unhappy with Diana Edulji, the Committee of Administrators (CoA) member who has questioned the process by which Raman was appointed, calling fellow CoA member Vinod Rai’s decision to appoint an ad hoc committee – rather than have the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) select the coach – an “illegal step”.”I am very disturbed about what all is happening,” Kapil told . “I don’t want to take names but ego of one particular individual shouldn’t be an impediment towards developing the women’s game in the country. While described as "very inconsistent" by Eurosport France’s Martin Mosnier, the mercurial maverick seemingly has the tools to flourish if placed in the right environment, with Mosnier have listed his array of qualities:
"He’s really an attacking midfielder although he can also play as a left winger. Cherki is an exceptional dribbler, one of the first things one notices when watching him is that he appears to be ambipedal, as he can seemingly utilise both feet equally well.

Described as the 'new Benzema' by various outlets, the youngster's potential has seen him tipped to potentially even emulate the former Ballon d'Or winner, with French football expert Jonathan Johnson having notably said of his talents:
"Probably the best young player to emerge from Lyon’s youth academy for many years, possibly even since Karim Benzema."
In the case of Benzema, the now-veteran marksman scored 66 goals in 148 games for Lyon prior to joining Los Blancos in 2009, eventually going on to win a raft of domestic and European honours at the Bernabeu, as well as contributing 519 goal involvements in 648 games.
Also a player who United themselves were seemingly keen on signing under Ferguson all those years ago, the 36-year-old is certainly the type of figure that Ten Hag would likely love to work with – hence signing his heir apparent in the form of Cherki.
